Film Seminar: This Business of the Gods: Joseph Campbell in Conversation with Fraser Boa

In this newly released, four-hour film series, Joseph Campbell weaves together a vivid compendium of insights into both myth and modern life-including his own-as he responds to Jungian analyst Fraser Boa’s off-screen questions. The PBS series, The Power of Myth, gave us a dynamic dialogue between explorer of contemporary ideas, Moyers, and scholar of perennial mythology, Campbell. This film is more psychologically oriented, both in content and its portrait of Joseph Campbell, the lively conversationalist and passionate teacher, who with mind and hands dances through the enormous body of knowledge that was his life’s work.

W. LADSON HINTON, M.D., is in private practice in Palo Alto, California since 1969. A graduate of the C.G. Jung institute of San Francisco, 1975, he also received an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Arkansas and an M.D. from Washington University. He interned at Georgetown and completed psychiatric training at Stanford Medical Center.
