For the duration of its publication history, "Anima" was published semi-annually. The volume/year began with the Fall (Equinox) issue and ended with the Spring (Equinox) issue. Beginning with Vol. 1, No. 1 (Fall Equinox 1974) through and including Vol. 17, No. 1 (Fall Equinox 1990) the dates of each issues were associated with their respective equinoxes -- fall and spring. Beginning with Vol. 17, No. 2 (Spring 1991), the dates of each issue were designated only as "Fall" or "Spring," without reference to the corresponding equinox. The cover of Vol. 7, No. 1 (Fall Equinox 1980) is mislabled "Seven/2." The cover of Vol. 10, No. 1 (Fall Equinox 1983) is mislabeled "Ten/2."
