Library Information

  • Our library is located at 811 NW 20th Ave, Portland. Click here to see a map.
  • The building has several front steps. If you wish to use the ramp in back instead, please contact [email protected] at least 5 days in advance.
  • Only members of OFJ may borrow materials. Items are loaned for a period of one month. Fines are assessed at $.25 per item per day for overdue items.

Returning library materials

  • Bring them to the same building 9am-5pm, Monday-Saturday and place them into the drop-chute in our office door. This is a different room: enter the building on 20th, turn right, pass the mailboxes, turn left. The next door on your left has a wooden flap; lift and drop items inside. Do not drop them in the old mail chute in the building’s front door.
  • Bring them to the library during our normal open hours, 12-3pm on most Saturdays excluding program weekends and Saturdays tied to holidays; check “Library Hours” above for open dates before you come. The library is in Suite 101 on your left as you enter the building at 811 NW 20th Ave.
  • If you cannot return them in person, please leave us a message at 503.223.3080 and someone will return your call to make alternate arrangements.

“The psychological rule says that when an inner situation is not made conscious, it happens outside, as fate. That is to say, when the individual remains undivided and does not become conscious of his inner opposite, the world must perforce act out the conflict and be torn into opposing halves.”
