Jerry Ruhl, Ph.D., reminds us that Jung most felt the presence of god in his life when things did not go his way, when his ego’s agenda was interrupted with uncertainty or change and the ensuing feelings of anxiety. Those were the moments he sat up and paid attention because he knew he was being called to something deeper.
