This is a Reference Recording for use only in the Library. "The Prophecy of the Seeress" was screened at a lecture presented to OFJ by Jungian Analyst Laurie Layton Schapira on March 13, 2015. Recordings of the lecture are available to OFJ members as a circulating MP3 compact disc and also as a streamable audio file on www.ofj.org. The total run time for this film is 40 minutes. The recording format is NTSC; the aspect ratio is 16x9. The following synopsis was posted on L.L. Schapira's website at https://cassandra-productions.com/films/#prophecy: "On the brink of Iceland’s financial meltdown, a CEO in Reykjavik visits a tarot card reader in a desperate attempt to avert his fate. Suddenly the two are transported to another time and place. In a parallel world, Odin, the father of the Viking gods, has sought out a Wise Woman to hear her knowledge of the past, present, and future. "He wants to know if there is anything he can do to avoid predicted Ragnarok – the destruction of the world. The Prophecy of the Seeress is based on a thousand- year-old Norse saga called Voluspa. Our modern world has a lot to learn from [the] ancient Seeress. Do we have the time to heed her dire warnings?"
