Range of dates in the Library's holdings: Spring 1970 through and including issue 1 of 2026 Range of issues in the Library's holdings: Vol. 1, No. 1 through and including Vol. 69, No. 1 Missing Issues: None "Psychological Perspectives" is currently published quarterly: (March, June, September, and December), although publication has become irregular. Over the course of this journal's publication history, its frequency of publication has changed -- as well as the conventions used for the sequential designation of volumes, numbers, and issues. For example, it's unclear why the first individually numbered issue (published in 1989) was designated issue #21 when 39 individual issues had already been published using standard Volume/Number designations between Spring 1970 and Spring/Summer 1989. One can only assume that the publisher chose to begin the numbered issues with what would have been the next Volume number in the previous sequencing scheme. Sequential issue numbers were abandoned following Issue #46 (2003); and standard Volume/Number designations were resumed. Thus, the following reconstruction of this journal's tumultuous publication history is tentative: • Vol. 1, No. 1 - Vol. 18, No 2 (Spring 1970 - Fall 1987): published as two issues per volume/year; designated as Spring and Fall issues • Vol. 19, No. 1 - Vol. 20, No. 1 (Spring-Summer 1988 - Spring-Summer 1989): published as two issues per volume/year; designated as Spring-Summer and Fall-Winter • Issue #21 (©1989; no date on the title page; no Volume/Number designation) • Issue #22 (©1990; no date on the title page; no Volume/Number designation) • Issue #23 (©1990; no date on the title page; no Volume/Number designation) • Issue #24 - Issue #35 (Spring-Summer 1991 - Spring-Summer 1997): published as two issues per year, without volume numbers; designated as Spring-Summer and Fall-Winter; although it appears that no issue was published at the expected time for Spring-Summer 1993 • Issue #36 - Issue 39 (Winter 1997 - Summer 1999): published as two issues per year, without volume numbers; designated as Summer and Winter issues, although it appears that no issue was published at the expected time for Winter 1999 • Issue #40 - Issue #46 (2000 - 2003): published as two issues per year, without volume numbers and without seasonal designations; although it appears that only one issue (#42) was published in 2001 • Vol. 47, No. 1 - Vol. 51, No. 2 (2004 - 2008): published as two issues per volume/year; volume and number designations were resumed, without sequential issue numbers and without seasonal designations • Vol. 52, No. 1 - [Present] (2009 - [Present]): published quarterly with 4 issues per volume/year, without seasonal designations Note that Vol. 62, Nos 2 and 3 (2019) incorporated two numbers in a single issue, without a seasonal designation Beginning with issue #40 (2000), each issue of "Psychological Perspectives" was given a theme title.
