SUMMARY:The Evolution of Jungian Psychology: Opening Wider Vistas

Building on the groundwork considered in the Friday Talk\, Saturday’s program will explore Jung’s approach to healing for both the individual on a personal level as well as for societies on a social level. We will briefly canvass his understanding of the archetype and how his concept evolved throughout his life to include the material world in his grasp of the “psychoid” archetype. Particular attention will be paid to the psychoid archetype’s role in synchronicity\, in psychosomatic healing\, in the events of world history\, in healing the apparent conflict between science and religion\, as well as in our technological mania.
